The future of industrial decarbonisation
Sustainable heat for industrial processes
Mechapres is a high-temperature heat pump coupled with thermal storage. Our solution takes advantage of intermittent solar and waste heat to produce steam for industrial applications.
How does it work?
Modular and highly efficient
Mechapres patented design consists of a high-temperature heat pump integrated with two thermal storage buffers.
The unique proprietary compressor achieve high-efficiency while keeping the manufacturing cost low.

The embedded storage enables Mechapres to take advantage of intermittent solar or waste heat, and off-peak electricity.
Fossil-free steam production
Mechapres uses low-temperature solar and/or waste heat to produce high-temperature heat.
Off-set intermittent solar or waste heat
When solar and waste heat are not available, electricity prices are high, or power cuts occur, the thermal storage is discharged keeping heat supply uninterrupted.
Store off-peak electricity
During off-peak time, or when there is excess on-site electricity generation, Mechapres can store electricity in its thermal storage.

The benefits for industrial plants
Guaranteed savings from day 1
Mechapres’s high performance can reduce OPEX for steam generation by up to 30%.
Our financing model provides insurance on technical risks, covers the upfront costs and includes maintenance. This means that end users can start saving money from day 1.
Utilising Untapped Resources
Thanks to integrated energy storage, Mechapres can recover heat wasted from intermittent thermal processes, an untapped resource today. The storage also enables to store intermittent renewable energy.
Non-intrusive to the exiting operations
The compact design (20ft container) and low safety requirements, make Mechapres extremely easy to integrate into any production line.
Mechapres does not require any modification to the existing heat/steam distribution system. Thus, it can directly replace steam boilers without any additional equipment or modification to the plants' layout.
